Indicated to all kinds of bloat & tympany. Simethicone works very rapidly and in cases of severe bloat acts as a emergency basis.

Description

Simethicone is an effective antiflatulent, acts locally in the rumen of animal by changing the surface tension of small gas bubbles trapped in foam, causing them to coalesce and ultimately pass out. Simethicone increases the exit rate of gas from digestive tract based on its antiflatulent properties.

Dosage & Administration

Acute Disease:
  • Cattle/Buffaloes: 100 ml 2 times daily
  • Sheep/Goat: 20 ml 2 times daily
Chronic Disease:
  • Cattle/Buffaloes: 50 ml 2 times daily
  • Sheep/Goat: 10 ml 2 times daily
Administer orally as drench or intraruminally by using canula or a long needle or as directed by the registered Veterinarian.

Interaction

Antacids reduces the defoamig effects of Simethicone.

Side Effects

Simethicone is physiologically inert and no adverse effect has been reported after oral ingestion.

More than 12 doses per day should not be used, except the advice of a registered veterinarian.
