Pharmacology

Pudina is a natural formulation with Pudina, known for soothing intestinal inflammation and relieving IBS symptoms. It helps reduce hyperacidity, abdominal pain, and improves digestion.

Mentha piperita contains a variety of chemical compounds, including Menthofuran, Menthol, and 1,8-Cineole.

Menthofuran: Menthofuran can reduce the total acidity of gastric secretions and increase their pH, which may help protect the gastric mucosa.

Menthol: Menthol has been shown to protect against gastric ulcers potentially by reducing inflammation, increasing mucus production, and modulating prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) level.

1,8-Cineole: 1,8-cineole may protect against gastric damage, including ethanol-induced injury, by acting as a cytoprotective agent that increases gastric mucus. It can inhibit gastric juice volume and total acid output, suggesting a role in managing acid-related gastritis. It may promote the healing of gastric ulcers, potentially by increasing the levels of mucus in the gastric.
